How To Use Your Hips


A common issue is throwing your hips forward and banging the bar out in front of you. During the extension of the snatch and clean, it is important to learn how to extend vertically with your hips.

Try doing a broad jump, jumping as far as you can forward.

Now try doing a few vertical jumps, jumping straight up as high as you can. THAT'S what extending vertically should feel like!
