CJ Cummings sets 15 Olympic Records at Pan Ams
"Junior record, senior record, American record, world record, whatever record you got, CJ Cummings can take it down.
Cummings was a one-man wrecking crew Wednesday night at the Pan American Weightlifting Championships in Guatemala City, which began Tuesday and continue through Saturday. The 18-year-old junior world champion for three years running went six for six to snatch 153 kg. and clean & jerk 191 kg. on his third lifts in the 73 kg. weight class.
Each of those lifts, and the total of 344 kg., set a new junior and senior American record, junior and senior Pan American record, as well as the new junior world record. In many cases, Cummings was breaking (and shattering) his own records, including his junior world records set at last year’s senior world championships."

Cj has been apart of the Caffeine and Kilos team for awhile now and from the start we knew there was something special and if there was any questions before this, he laid them to rest at Pan Ams. All these records are incredible but the real win is that the Pan Ams are considered a gold qualifying event for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. This performance definitely sets him on the right path to compete at the biggest stage of them all.
